Daniel M. O’Connell (B.F.A. ’72, M.A. ’75), Pittsfield, Mass.:

In 1972 thru 1975 as an artist I painted the faces on the front of the Cambus student buses...there was a “clown” bus....and a “vampire” bus...and a “groucho” bus...and a “chico” bus...and a “harpo” bus...and a “grunt faced” bus...and a “flower child” bus...but the most favorite by far was the rolled cigarette bus called “the cannibus.”

I went on to paint public murals after grad school and spent 30 years working as the Commissioner of Cultural Affairs for the City of Pittsfield, Mass. (View my public murals in a virtual tour at http://www.berkshireweb.com/artisans.)
